About

Emilio Albertini is the photographer behind LIFELOVEandStories. He photographs weddings and families with a focus on emotional truth, timing, and visual credibility. The aim is not generic coverage or generic portraiture. It is to make photographs that feel alive, carry emotional weight, and remain meaningful over time.

His approach blends observation and direction with restraint. Some moments ask to be quietly witnessed. Others need structure. In both cases, the goal is the same: photographs with presence, honesty, and taste.

Emilio holds an MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, an MA in Mathematics/Education from DePaul University, and a BS in Finance from Bradley University. He is a first-generation Italian-American whose work reflects both American discipline and Italian craftsmanship. His interests include European football, sailing, Neorealist cinema, and the jazz sub-genres of Swing, Bebop, and Hard Bop..

He has also been a panelist for Brand Thinking, a workshop on strategy, storytelling, and visuals. His contribution focused on the role of on-brand photography in building trust, reinforcing a message, and helping organizations choose images with more discernment.

Recognition

His work contributed to the Chicago Public Relations Society Golden Trumpet Award of Excellence received by Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago for its annual report. He has also received grant support from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events and the Illinois Arts Council Agency.

Emilio also accepts selected corporate, nonprofit, and editorial assignments through Emilio Albertini Photography.
